Miracle Testimony
We hope you’re well, we’re just wanted to share our testimony of 2 massive Miracles of God that we’ve be blessed to experience within the last 6 months.
The first is in relation to Marriage, after getting engaged last April, months crept by and before we knew it, it was almost Christmas.
Around October (post conference) there was a combination of a series of convicting sermons, alongside many conversations filled with encouragement, wise words and calls to action. This resulted in us prayerfully laying hold of God as well as being intentional with our actions.
We set a date for the first Saturday of December (2nd) and got to work. A pivotal prayer was that we would approach all the tasks before us with the appropriate urgency, with just over a month at this point, we wanted to make everyday count.
As we stepped out in faith God moved on more occasions than we can count on all our hands, we made a point to note down every blessing we experienced along the way. Some of the stand outs were:
Favour with the registry office, in our initial lack of forward planning, we had neglected giving notice of marriage which needed to be in no less than 4 weeks (28 days) from the wedding day. We tried to book our appointment October 30th, and Unsurprisingly, there wasn’t any appointments until mid November, which would’ve meant a postponement of the date. At this point we had already sent invites and placed a deposit with our reception venue, we knew that only God could overcome this obstacle. In faith, we emailed, asking the registry office for any earlier appointments. They replied with good news! Early Tuesday (31st) they said they had 2 afternoon appointments. Our celebration quickly turned to stress when we realised we couldn’t find my passport, as time ticked on we prayed that God would help us, and after A LOT of searching we found it, this lengthy search resulted in us running almost 15 minutes late to the appointment, they had every right to reschedule and charge us for the initial appointment, but the lady in the office showed us so much grace again. After about 30 mins we stepped out with notice of marriage in hand. Praise God! God blessed us with financial provisions for every need, at times coming from the most unexpected sources including discounts with vendors
We initially battled with a few standards, however as we made a stand we believe God honoured that decision. Which leads into housing. Cut to after the wedding, Sarah had to declare a change of circumstances - being married. We shortly received notice that we’d need to leave in 2 weeks time. Even in this we had grace, as the social worker gave us an additional 2 weeks on top. In the 4th week we heard back about a property and had a viewing arranged. Sarah went along to view the prospective flat on Monday 18th March (about a week after Richard Sampaney made the call for people with housing needs to come to the altar), and got the keys the Same day!
We moved in the same week on Friday, with loads of help from family and friends from Church. The flat is above and beyond anything we could’ve expected. Great transport links, a bus stop literally outside our front door, a train station across the road (stops from Lea Bridge station). It’s a complete new build, which came with all the right goods we could possibly need, carpet, a laundry cupboard, a large living room ( perfect for fellowships - of which we’ll be having many), floor to ceiling windows which flood the open plan kitchen/living room with so much natural light, and even a balcony.
We’re gobsmacked by what God has done, and in such a short space of time. We know our prayers, fasting and obedience were pivotal in this immense blessing.
Since moving in, it’s been really exciting envisioning our future in our new home, but we’re conscious that heaven is our true home and we’re just stewards of all that God has blessed us with.
Please pray that we would react in the right spirit and not get distracted by all the “bells and whistles” and that God would “Keep” us. I sense this is only the beginning of much more and want to ensure our hearts are guarded from any pride or greed as God would continue to pour out his blessings.
